Novatus is a partnership between Westhaven Worldwide Logistics and Icon Business Solutions, a leading network of business advisors. First and foremost we have concentrated on developing a range of services that are unique, simple, powerful and credible.
Our core service is to help UK manufacturers find a trusted and reliable overseas partner. How do we do this?
* We diagnose the suitability of the organisation to offshoring - Not all businesses are suitable, and it is rarely the case that a 100% shift would be suitable, so we have partnered the MAS (Manufacturing Advisory Service) to deliver their 'Offshore? Be Sure!' toolkit
* We will help to identify the type of partner that is required: Joint Venture, Subsidiary, Contracted Supplier etc.
* We will either project manage the component sourcing via our own partners in India/China or help to establish long term links/joint ventures with a suitable partner
How can we be qualified to do this?
All Novatus Associates are chosen for their experience and extensive networks within the Industry. Two key members of the team are:
* Mark Eaton - Industry Director for Manufacturing. Mark is a Viscount Nuffield medal winner for his services to the Engineering sector. He chairs committees for the IET and IOM, and is currently writing the governments Manufacturing Policy for the East of England. Mark has also led numerous programmes for the DTI and other major public bodies.
* Rabindranath Battacharya - leads our team in India. He is purchasing manager for a division of one of the largest Automotive suppliers in India, and has an extensive network of approved suppliers and contacts that we are drawing upon. He is a global keynote speaker on "India as a World Class Manufacturing Centre" and has written numerous articles for major publications around manufacturing and sourcing.
Our Indian team is strengthened by a network of key people, all with expertise and experience in the Manufacturing sector. From Paper to Engineered Components, Furniture to Handbags - we have the expertise on hand.
We also have expertise in China. We have the backing of a £500m PLC to have exclusive use of their sourcing team in China, some 300 strong - trained to the highest standards.
All of this coupled with the Logistics and Supply Chain support makes a powerful offering. We have also forged a partnership with HSBC Trade Services who will assist in all Trade Finance and investment matters.
