Parent group export success!

Our parent group E. H. Smith, is one of the UK’s largest, privately owned builders’ merchants and they have recently switched on to the possibilities of supplying construction materials to export markets.

Architects are the ones who ‘specify‘ certain materials for construction projects. Building on their excellent reputation amongst UK architects, who are very prominent in the design of buildings and facilities overseas, E. H. Smith is hoping to establish itself as a major player in the supply of materials to overseas clients. As the group’s international logistics subsidiary, Westhaven Worldwide is at the forefront of this expansion into export markets.

EHS, having supplied the bricks for construction of Battersea Power Station - in it’s time, one of the largest brick-built structures in the world – is famous for it’s knowledge of all things to do with masonry. No surprise then that the group’s first venture into overseas markets involved the shipment of 9 container loads of bricks for a prestigious construction project in South Korea. As the group’s international logistics subsidiary, we were pleased to advise on loading procedures and to arrange maritime shipment.
