Out Of Gauge Shipments

The standard dimensions of artic trailers are 13.6m long, 2.45m wide and between 2.5m and 3m in height. If a piece of cargo is significantly over any of these dimensions it will be considered ‘out of gauge.’

There are many things to consider when moving an out of gauge piece of cargo. The type of trailer, road restrictions, police escorts, access to the loading and offloading points, lashing and securing of the cargo etc. etc.
