Non-Transhipment Export Groupage
Most part load freight will be initially collected on a domestic vehicle and brought to a central UK distribution point to maximise the usage of the international trailer. The international trailer would then take the goods to another hub in the destination country, and possibly two or three more before the final delivery takes place.
For goods that require a degree of care in handling, this is far from ideal! Each time the goods are handled there is a chance of damage occurring. There is an alternative. We can offer a service that combines the economy of a part load, and the security of a dedicated trailer. Because of our extensive contacts and customer base we can arrange for one trailer to collect the goods and deliver them with no trans-shipment. The service is based on availability of trailers, but is usually faster than a standard groupage service.
